Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande has a rich history dating back to 1686, when Pierre de Mazure Rauzan, a Bordeaux merchant, acquired parcels of vineyards and founded the estate. Kept within the same family for over 250 years, the winery gained recognition in 1855, being classified as a Second Growth in the famous Bordeaux wine classification. The winery cultivates a blend of the region's main grape varieties: 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is committed to the tradition of hand harvesting, with more than 100 people working annually to carefully select grapes based on their ripeness and the age of the vines. This meticulous approach and dedication to quality result in exceptional wines that reflect the terroir of Pauillac. Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is widely recognized for its elegance and complexity, solidifying its place among the best wines of Bordeaux.
